Pastor Yemi and Samuel stood, staring down at the headless body of the seer. In a corner of the premises, the seer’s wife and children huddled up, wailing, as neighbours and people of the street tried to comfort them. “Whatever killed this man did not want him to reveal the truth he knew about your parents. I am certain those demon-spawned creatures killed him,” said pastor Yemi. “I am sure they killed him. It has to be them,” Samuel concurred. The sight of the seer lying headless on the floor, sent a shock wave through his heart. I can’t let myself become anything that can commit such savagery, he thought in his heart. “This is a dead end. There is nothing here anymore that can tell us more about your parents. We have to make do with what we already know,” pastor Yemi pointed out.

There was no time to fool around. Having seen what those beasts could do to keep their secrets covered, pastor Yemi was determined to see if he could help Samuel and his sisters. “We have to go back to the church now. I have to depend on God to know what next to do. From what we have seen here, your parents must be neck deep into evil as the seer told you. You have to be strong now. Do not allow anything to scare you. Jesus saves, trust your soul with him. I am yet to recall any scripture in the bible which says people like you cannot be saved. Did you hear me Samuel?” Samuel nodded energetically, encouraged to hear that he and his sisters still stood the chance of being redeemed.

They ran back into the street and left with their taxi driver. On the drive back to the church, pastor Yemi called as many of his superiors as he could. He intimated them on what was going on in his church and asked for prayers.

The Strange House
On one of those iron tables lay the lifeless body of Gegwe. The stab wounds on her body were still fresh and gaping like she had just received them. That was strange. Standing around were her parents and a few of those abnormally tall creatures. Above, a swarm of spirits circled in a heart-stopping fashion. Bowing their heads like those about to pray, they began to make incantations over Gegwe’s lifeless body. Slowly murky words began to escape from their lips, summoning infernal powers from underworld. Minutes into their incantations, their voices merged into one voice and their bodies began to crack up as though something was trying to emerge from under their skins. Gegwe’s mother began to moan just like she would when her husband touched her and Gegwe in the house. One of those humanoids stooped over her and began to have sex with her. At that, everyone in the room, both male and female, began to moan just like Gegwe’s mother.

The room by now was charged with a supernatural current. Above, the spirits circling just below the ceiling, began to moan too and slowly, they descended toward Gegwe. Then Gegwe’s father jumped unto the table and went into his daughter. Opening his mouth very wide, those spirits went into him. Their entrance really got him charged up. Like a turbo charged machine, he began to move in and out of Gegwe, screaming insanely. It must have lasted for five minutes when Gegwe stirred and her voice joined the rest. She had returned to life.

When her voice was heard, the atmosphere in the room changed. It became more like celebration. More of those abnormal creatures entered the room, bringing with them some young girls who were clad in nothing. Their entrance signaled a new level or satanic worship through sexual orgy.

The Prayer Meeting
No one saw her join them, they were on their knees praying fervently. She had come as one of them, but was of the devil, sent to stop the prayer meeting so that Sandra and Patricia could be caught. It must have taken about eight minutes before she began to weave her evil magic over them. Right where they knelt, they began to sleep one after another. The evil lady who had joined them had prevailed for that moment. She sprang to her feet and looked around the church, all the prayer band team members were asleep and dreaming away. Quietly she stepped out of the church and placed a call to the naked lady at Mr. Dead’s house. “It was far much easier than I thought. They are all asleep now and snoring away. Slaughter those boys and bring Sandra and Patricia to the house,” she said over the phone. “Gegwe is back! She was brought back a few minutes ago. Perhaps we are going to put only one of the girls to use against what we planned,” the naked lady said. “Okay, let me go across the street and keep an eye on the sleepers, just in case one of them wakes suddenly.” The evil agent sneaked out of the church premises and darted across the street like a cat. A few children saw her and shouted. No one knew what they saw or why they were shouting for and pointing at nothing.

Inside the church, the loud snores of some of the prayer team members could be heard. Sadly, pastor Yemi and Samuel were still on their way back.

The Street
Inside a room in the compound Sandra felt a wave of lust surge down her legs. She held them tightly and looked at Patricia like she had not seen her before. Something was wrong, that much she knew but the urge to touch her sister was overwhelming. Under her breath, she mumbled, “God what is wrong with me? I can’t do this, it is wrong.” Patricia was fighting hard to stay awake, in-between the steadily increasing chant on the street, she would nod her head in sleep and say gibberish. When Patricia turned and lay askew, revealing more than she would want to about her body, Sandra heard a faint whisper in her right ear urging her to reach out and touch her sister. Stretching out her hand, she reached for Patricia’s chest. “Jesus! Sandra! Sandra a man is standing behind you!!!” Patricia yelled as she sprang to her feet. Startled, Sandra turned only to see a shadow retreating into the wall of the room behind her.

From the much she saw, she could have sworn the person was her father. “Pat, something is terribly wrong. While you dozed off, I became overwhelmed with lust. I almost touched you for sexual reasons.” Patricia inched away from her, finding it hard to believe that Sandra, the prayer warrior, actually said that. “You have to come with me now, my brother is around with some policemen,” the beans ball seller said as she barged into the room. She slowed her stride into the room and retreated toward the door. Patricia and Sandra were shocked by her reaction. As if she had seen the devil, the beans ball seller bolted out of the room shouting, “The devil is in this room!” Patricia and Sandra ran out with her.

“Madam wait!” Patricia shouted after the lady. “What was that? Who entered that room when I was away?” the Lady stopped to ask. Breathing heavily, she looked at the two sisters warily. Sandra knew lying won’t help them at all, so she told her the truth. “We saw something in the room. A shadow. It came out of the wall to attack us. We think Mr. Dead sent it.” “Is there something the two of you have not told me? The devil was in that room with the two of you when I came in. His presence was too strong in there.  I have to tell you this, Mr. Dead is just what he is – dead. Why would he be interested in you two?” the beans ball seller asked. “We don’t have a clue. We…” Patricia paused. She was going to say something that would have spooked out the beans ball seller much more. “Our father is a highly placed occult man. He wants us to be part of his evil cult but we refused, he is using the devil’s power to pull us in. Our brother is back in Lagos; we don’t know what might have happened to him. Please believe us, we are not evil,” Patricia ended up saying.

“You should have told me this from the beginning. I would have sent for my pastor instead of the police. All the same, come with me,” the lady said with relief on her face. Patricia and Sandra followed behind her, exchanging curious looks. Outside, the street had been filled with young men led by Solomon. They bore all sorts of weapon, chanting angrily. Their advancement toward Mr. Dead’s house had been halted by the sight of the cloud belching from the ground and a naked young girl standing in front of his house with a blood stained machete in hand. Though her eyes were wide open, it was filled with darkness. The street boys had mistaken her for a small display of voodoo by Mr. Dead and had for sent for a well-known Islamic priest to chain her with his powers. Their chant was a way to keep themselves angry while waiting for his arrival. If they knew what was waiting for them in front of that house, they would have known they were inviting the Islamic priest to his early death.

On one side of the street, a group of policemen wielding their guns, waited for Patricia and Sandra to join them in their van. When the sisters joined them, one of the policemen, pretending to ease himself by the side of the street, removed his phone and made a call to someone saying, “The girls are with us now. I will take care of the others and bring them to you.”
