Nigeria's leading fictional story blog - she took out the assassins, how she was able to kill the men, Murtala Muhammed international airport Ikeja, I had to kill him, fifty million bucks, three friends were killed along with the girl in the room, when I arrived at TBS, meeting with a group of assassins in Apapa.

He stared in horror at the bodies on the floor; he could not wrap his head around how an easy looking lady like Agatha could have taken out two grown men with guns. He made a call and in a short while two young men arrived in a meat van and helped Mr. Klon get rid of the bodies. Agatha went into the bathroom and took a while before coming out. In there she relieved every moment of how she took out the assassins; as she held herself in the bathtub, she realized she was more afraid than when she braved up to kill the men. She knew she was not safe and had to leave Sierra Leone and it had to be that night or in the morning. She did her best not to let Mr. Klon get an idea she knew what he did. Klon did not ask her how she was able to kill the men nor did she volunteer to tell him. It seemed as if they had unspoken mutual agreement not to talk about what happened.

About 7:00 pm, Agatha served Klon his dinner and went into her room to play a computer game. By 10:00 pm she came out and found Klon sleeping in his couch, the sleeping pill she added to his food had kicked in; having packed her few belongings already, she went into her room and picked her light luggage. When she returned to the living room, she dropped her bag, went into the kitchen and returned with a knife. She stood over Mr. Klon for a while and then gently pushed the knife into his throat. A gush of blood followed the entrance of the knife into Klon’s throat. She locked the house and fled with her bag.

By 11 am the next day, she was being driven away in a taxi from Murtala Muhammed international airport Ikeja. She switched back to her old SIM card and dialed Lavonne. Lavonne was shocked to hear she was back to Lagos and told Agatha where to meet up with her. When they met in the house where Lavonne was recovering, Agatha was brought to tears by the look of her sister. Lavonne had a lot of bruises on her body. “What happened to you Maria?” “Hunter betrayed me. He took fifty million naira from Evelyn and sold me out.” “Oh my God! That explains why some people came to kill me in Freetown.” “What did you just say? Someone came to kill you!”

“Yes. Two men, they looked like Zimbabweans. I killed them and Mr. Klon too.” “You killed Klon! Why did you do that?” “Don’t bother Maria, your friend Klon was working with them. I had to kill him to make sure I was safe. Where is hunter now?” “I don’t know he could be in any part of the world now. He has fifty million he was paid to betray me.” “But that is a lot of money sister.” “It tells you how much Evelyn and my old friends want me dead.” “So they came to kill you in your hotel room?” “No. The attack happened at TBS. Hunter and I were meant to pose as drug dealers to draw out Evelyn and her colleagues. I had no clue that Hunter had sold me out and left with fifty million bucks. Actually the meeting at TBS was set up to kill me. The very man who planned the attack was the one who came to my rescue when he discovered who I am.”

“Who was that?” “His name is Gabriel. I knew him back when I was in OAU. He is a detective now and has his own security company. Evelyn hired him to find the person who was killing them. After I cleaned out the Imudiase’s family, they were scared I would get to them soon, so they decided to offer fifty million Naira to anyone who would give them information about me. I was told that some guy, a police detective, told them about Hunter. They met Hunter and offered him a deal; he took the money and told them everything he knew about me and also about the meeting in TBS. Until Hunter told them about the meeting, they didn’t know I was the one setting it up; by now Evelyn would have been history.”

“So why did Gabriel help you?” “As I said, he was a bosom friend back in OAU. One night I overheard a cultist telling a colleague of his, a year one student, to leave school campus because a cult war was going to start. I was sure I heard him say something about Gabriel being one of the first to be killed. Agatha, I was scared. For about forty-five minutes I kept running around the campus looking for Gabriel; eventually I found him in a girl’s room with three of his friends. I called him aside and told him what I had heard and immediately left him because I was too afraid to hang around him. On my way out of the hostel, I ran into five men on the staircase, rushing into the hostel, holding assault rifles.

“The sight of them killed me. Oh Agatha! You should have seen how your sister shake with fear. Just seconds after they passed me in the stairway, I began to hear gun shots; that was when your sister found the strength to flee from the hostel. I ran like Michael Johnson, I didn’t care if my skirt got torn or if my foot wear pulled off, I wanted to stay alive, so I ran as fast as I could. I didn’t go to check after the shooting, those who went said that Gabriel’s three friends were killed along with the girl in the room. Only Gabriel escaped, he had leapt through the window after I told him what I had heard. His friends were stupid; instead of going through the window they tried to use the door. If I hadn’t got that information to Gabriel in time, he would have been killed along with his friends. Since that day he has been feeling he owes me his life.”

“Oh my God! Sister Maria that is quite some story you just told me. I think God saved him that night using you, so that in the future he would use him to save you.” “Abi o my sister! Gabriel told me later that when he found out that I was the one they were chasing; he knew he had to do something. His conscience wouldn’t let him abandon me. He knew Hunter had betrayed me and left with the money they paid him. Hunter was to be my back up and I didn’t know what he was up to. Actually I called him when I arrived at TBS and he told me he was in position. Hunter was meant to be my shooter. I had said my last prayer when Gabriel took out the second shooter who was already standing by my car with an AK 47 rifle… Yes! There it is. I brought the gun back here. From what he told me today, he also killed the second shooter; the sniper on the east terraces at the square. I am really thankful to God for this guy. The good thing is that Evelyn and the others do not know he was the one who helped me. They believe that Hunter betrayed them. I like it that way. So they are not going to see me coming. I am waiting for Gabriel to tell me their next move.”

Just then Maria and Agatha heard some noise in the living room, it sounded like someone had forced his way into the apartment. Agatha grabbed the AK 47 rifle on the table next to Lavonne’s bed. Lavonne pulled out her 9mm from under her pillow; the two of them took their positions on each side of the door to the room, and waited for the intruder to come into the room. While they waited, the intruder’s phone rang, he spoke in a very low tone, Lavonne could not make out whose voice it was, but it sounded oddly familiar. Lavonne waved at her sister to squat down and point her gun to the door, Agatha did and strained the AK 47 on the door, ready to spray bullets on whatever was to come through that door. Then the voice spoke up a little louder and Lavonne shouted, “Gabriel!” “Lavonne! What is it?” Gabriel dashed into the room thinking Lavonne was in trouble, only to see the two sisters pointing their guns at him.

“What are you doing here by this time? You know we would have killed you if I didn’t recognize your voice.  You told me you wouldn’t be back till evening.” “Who is this lady?” asked Gabriel. “Agatha, lower your gun… She is my sister, the one in Sierra Leone. Hunter also told them about her. They sent some people to kill her in Freetown, but somehow she got the better of them. So, why are you back by this time?” “Evelyn and Matthew have changed their plans; all four of them will be in one place this evening. They will be meeting with a group of assassins in Apapa this night. They intend to hand over to them the information Hunter gave them about you and pay the assassins to find you and kill you.” “What did Hunter give them about me?” “They have your picture and some information about your sister. They know how you kill your victims, how you make use of masks and the sort of hotels you like to use before and after killing your targets.”

“Wow! I see hunter did his job well. Okay what do you want me to do now?” “I am the one arranging the meeting with the assassins; I can get you to the venue of the meeting before anyone arrives. The venue is a private house in Apapa.” “How am I going to kill all of them by myself? You said they are meeting with a group of assassins.” “I will help you, sister!” interjected Agatha. “Shut up Agatha! You are going nowhere. I will need some assistance Gabriel, and I don’t want it to be my sister.” “Okay, I will help you, but do you still have some of your poisons?” “Yes, a good supply of them. Why did you ask? You said they already know about my methods.” “I am now your greatest weapon against them Agatha. They don’t have a clue that I know you, and much less working with you.” Lavonne smiled, she completely got his drift.
